We live in a world of contrast.
The photos here are my encounter with many types of contrasts: visual, intellectual, emotional, at times separate, but occasionally combined into one image.
The photos were taken over a period of years, mostly in the 1970’s, and mostly in the city of Philadelphia.
Representative of many contrast types to follow is the first photograph of Rodin’s statue, The Thinker, staring at a large crane and contemplating before him one stark contrast: construction? or destruction?
